HOW YUMMY IS YOUR LADY PART?

The vagina is the second most important part of a woman's body; next to the face. and ought to be treated with dignity and respect.

Have you wondered why you keep having recurrent infections even though your hygiene is impeccable? Grab a seat you are about to find out.

You may have your bath couple of times a day, enjoy a closet full of expensive Victoria Secret or slim girl lingerie and use the best products money can buy. Hun,  newsflash!  you might just be doing the right things but doing them the wrong way.

Here are simple practices we can incorporate to save us the embarrassment and make this a thing of the past. ๐Ÿ˜€

1. When it comes to your lingerie selection, ๐Ÿ‘™your vagina has a preference and that's cotton!

This is because it allows air entry into your lady part and absorbs moisture.

You see those "wash and wear" silk and nylon  panties, it's time to ditch them.

2. Say NO! to douching

All you need is  warm water to wash down there. If you must use soap, make sure it's  mild organic soap/wash to avoid altering  the pH balance in the vagina, leaving it open to infections. I will do a review on some good products you can use soon.

3.Double up on vaginal friendly diet and that includes yoghurt.

4. Wipe the right way

There is a right way to wipe after emptying your bowel and that's from front to back.  Wiping from back to front can sweep harmful organisms  from the anus into the vagina and we don't want that.

5. Undies should be washed and dried  out in the open where they can get sunlight.  Drying them in the bathroom or other enclosed space  encourages  bacteria to rest on them and thrive. But the heat from the sun clears any such pathogen. If possible, iron them before use too.

6. During menstruation, tampons shouldn't stay in for too long.

Change them every 3 to 4 hours . The more time the menstrual blood stays in contact with the vagina the higher the chances of coming down with a vaginal infection.

6.If you start experiencing foul-smelling discharge from the vagina,  itching,  bleeding not related to menstrual period. Do not self medicate, visit your doctor right away.

PLAYTIME IN PLAYSUIT!

Hey fam!
How are you doing? I hope your day is as bright and beautiful as roses in summer.๐Ÿ’–
On the blog today, I'm styling a little black playsuit because girls just want to have fun.๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰
INo wardrobe should exist without a magic playsuit.
Risque as it is , every woman needs to own a pair.
They are perfect for a night out with bae, grabbing drinks with the girls or just lounging in the comfort of your home. What does that tell you? ....its versatile!

I love playsuits because they are also girly, flirty and can be dressed up or down. They also can be worn by all body types provided you get your exact size; not a size lower else it looks really wierd.

This was gifted to me at the beginning of the year and as usual I stashed it somewhere at the bottom layer of my closet and never got to rock it untill now because I was waiting for the perfect time and occassion and then corona struck!
One thing i've learnt is, NEVER save outfits. Every occasion is a perfect time to look and feel good!
because i wanted a simple and chic theme I paired this with a black platform and a cropped leather jacket to go.
Do you own a playsuit?
How do you prefer to style yours?

HOW TO HELP A VICTIM OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

It goes without saying that these are really difficult and disruptive times, with everything going on in the world right now and special emphasis on sexual assault and violence against women.

No one deserves to go through the pain of being raped for whatsoever reason but sadly the reality is that  it continues to happen in our midst almost everyday.

We must do all in our power to stand against this nefarious act, protect the victims and  ensure that offenders are brought to book.

In light of these I have taken time to highlight  how you can be of help to someone who has been assaulted sexually

1.Report to the appropriate authorities which could be  the police, or organisations that handle such cases.

2. Report to the hospital as soon as possible. Often times the rapist is on the run or still being fished out by relevant authorities but in the mean time the victim should be conveyed to a hospital  There might be injuries that could range from minor bruises to lifethreatening conditions and would require urgent medical attention to save life.

2. Ensure administration of Prophylaxis against sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy.
In most cases the offender does not use any protection leaving the victim at risk of infections like Hiv chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, hepatitis e.t.c as well as pregnancy.   Post exposure prohylaxis are to be administered  to avoid developing  some of these infections as well as emergency contraceptive to  prevent pregnancy.
this should be started within 72 hours of said incidence

3. Adequate Counselling by a professional. The psychological effect is more traumatic than you can imagine and can cause post traumatic stress disorder in the victim especially for children and young adults.

4. Protect the privacy of the victim. This is not to say that you should hide or avoid addressing the issue or keep relevant information away from the authorities but as much as possible avoid over publicising the victim as this has a negative effect on them afterwards

5.Ensure that the victim is safe and surrounded with loved ones.  It is also crucial that they are not left on their own to avoid harming themselves.

COPORATE CHIC//5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MOM JEANS

hey Fam!!!!
How are you doing today? Hope you safe, healthy and happy. In the midst of everything going on in the world today I pray for peace not just in our world but in our hearts as well and to live with the mindset that everyday we get to be alive is a gift and should be treated as such.

In today's blog order of business I'm styling ripped mom jeans to give a coporate vibe.
If you think ripped jeans only belong on weekends and running errands you need to think again.
five things  I love about these jeans are
1. how comfy they are(I mean, i could go to sleep in them...... ๐Ÿค”)
and ofcourse
2.how versatile they are (Can be dressed up or dressed down )

3. They are also  free around your lower limbs hence do not obstruct blood flow to your lower region which is very important.

4. They look good on everyone even if you have no booty

5.They are always in  style.

Styling this jeans
I paired mine with a red camisole and red blazers because nothing says I mean business better than a red hot blazzer!
I finished off with nude pumps and a nude purse to go.
For a typical work day i'll opt for flats because I'm on my toes almost all day and heels are not idle for the hospital setting.

STARTING AFRESH!......

Hey fam!!!!
The sun is up, the sky is blue and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside๐Ÿค—  not because all is perfect but its a priviledge to be alive today and I have learnt to be grateful even for the smallest things.

This is not just a new month for me but a fresh start. A few years ago,  I started my first blog "Diary of a stylish doctor" that was after medical school while i was waiting to begin my  housemanship. I had over 100 posts on there but somehow work got in the way and I had to focus on my medical career.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago i tried reconnecting with my lost love but for whatever reason I couldnt find my blog page anymore๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ .After much fussing and blaming myself for not trying hard enough to keep my passion alive,  I have decided to start this journey again and make it even more beautiful this time.

I'll be putting out contents on lifestyle, fashion, travel, life lessons , healthtips and all things in between. I promise it would be worth your time.๐Ÿ˜Ž  and I'm organising my schedule to make sure that I 'm consistent in bringing you juicy and worthwhile contents  to take our minds off the sad reality of the present day as we hope for a bettet tomorrow.

Stay safe!
